What we build

Full-service landscape design and construction

From a first sketch to the last stone set, every project runs through one crew and one point of contact.

01

Landscape Design

A site visit, a planting and layout plan, and a clear proposal before anything is dug. No guessing at what you're paying for.

02

Patios & Walkways

Natural stone and paver hardscaping, set on a proper compacted base so it stays flat through freeze-thaw seasons.

03

Retaining Walls

Engineered for the slope and soil on your lot, with drainage built in rather than bolted on afterward.

04

Outdoor Living Spaces

Fire pits, pergolas, seating walls, and outdoor kitchens, laid out around how your family actually uses the yard.

05

Planting & Gardens

Perennial beds, native plantings, and hedgerows chosen for Huron County's soil and winters, not a catalogue photo.

06

Landscape Lighting

Low-voltage path and accent lighting, wired to survive a season of lawn mowers and shovelling snow off the walk.

Seasonal Maintenance

Spring cleanups, mulching, and fall closing for properties we've built, on a schedule instead of a phone call in April.

How a project runs

From first call to first barbecue

The same four steps whether the job is a walkway or a full backyard rebuild.

Site Visit & Consult

Mara walks the property with you, talks through how the space gets used, and takes measurements. No charge, no obligation.

Design & Proposal

A layout, a materials list, and a fixed-price proposal. Changes happen here, on paper, before anything is ordered.

Build

One crew, start to finish. You get a start date and a realistic finish window, and we tell you if weather moves it.

Walkthrough & Care

A final walkthrough before we leave, plus a care sheet for anything planted. Maintenance plans are available after that.

What clients say

63 reviews, 4.9 average

“Mara walked us through three design options before we picked one. The patio has held up through two winters with zero shifting.”
Colleen R. · Bayfield
“The crew showed up when they said they would, every single day. Retaining wall looks like it was always there.”
Nathan P. · Goderich
“We asked for a fire pit and somehow ended up with a whole new backyard. Worth every conversation it took to get the plan right.”
The Whitfield Family · Grand Bend

Questions

Frequently asked

Do you offer free consultations?
Yes. The first site visit is free for properties within our service area, with no obligation to book after.
How far ahead should I book for spring?
Late winter, ideally February or March. Spring and early summer start dates fill first, since most homeowners want the yard ready by June.
What's your service area?
Bayfield, Goderich, Grand Bend, Clinton, Exeter, and the surrounding parts of Huron County. Ask if you're just outside this list; we sometimes take projects further out.
Do you handle permits?
Yes, for anything that requires one, such as taller retaining walls or structures. We pull the permit and coordinate with the municipality as part of the build.
Do you offer maintenance after the build?
Yes, as a separate seasonal plan covering spring cleanup, mulching, and fall closing. It's optional and priced apart from the build itself.
How long does a typical project take?
A patio or walkway usually runs one to two weeks. A full backyard redesign is closer to four to eight weeks, weather and material lead times permitting.
