Northbound sources direct-trade beans and roasts them in small batches, a few days a week, so what's on the shelf was green not long ago. No blends sitting in a warehouse for months.

Every bag lists the roast date. If it's been on the shelf more than three weeks, we pull it.
Jasmine, peach, and a bergamot finish. The one we hand new pour-over customers first.
Blackcurrant and grapefruit up front, a winey acidity that lingers. Our most requested single-origin.
Brown sugar, red apple, and toasted almond. Balanced enough for drip or espresso.
Caramel, hazelnut, and orange zest. What's in the hopper at the roastery counter every morning.
Cedar, dark chocolate, and a peppery finish. Roasted for body, not for char.
Cocoa, walnut, and molasses. No chemical solvents in the decaffeination, so it actually tastes like coffee.

Sourcing
Devon works directly with importers who visit the farms in person, not blind lots off a spot market. Every origin comes with a name and a story, not just a country.
Roasting
Small batches on our drum roaster, a few times a week rather than one big run a month. Every batch is logged: temperature curve, time, and the taster's notes.
Cupping
Every batch is cupped before it ships. If it doesn't hit the notes on file for that origin, it doesn't go out under that label — it's sold as house drip instead, at a discount.
Packing & Delivery
Bagged within 48 hours of roasting, with the roast date printed on every bag. Available for pickup at the roastery or delivered to wholesale accounts around Bruce County.
